Freddie Duran Plan
Freddie Duran Plan has been performing around the Phoenix area since 1989 doing various nightclubs, conventions and concerts. With their excellent musicianship and abilities to bridge latino, rock, contemporary, tex-mex, and many other styles, the sheer danceability and magic of their sound always makes for enjoyable and exciting entertainment. Freddie's vocal abilities are pure pleasure to listen to as the band backs him up with the smoothest harmonies in Arizona.
More recently they performed for over 5,000 screaming 6th graders at the Mesa Amphitheater as part of their graduation from the D.A.R.E. program sponsored by the various Departments of Public Safety in the East Valley. The band has done residencies in the past in Yuma, Page, Hermosillo, Mexico and various local events/concerts as part of the residency roster. The residencies and concerts were all well received.
Freddie is currently working on his 3rd CD and hope to release it very soon. Freddie Duran was named the 1994 Songwriter of the Year award at the Arizona Entertainment Awards and also performs around the valley, solo/acoustic, at various functions and events. There has been more focus on the music of Mexico and Spain in the last few years and the band will lean toward performing some of those types of songs as well as Freddie's original songs which speak about the desert southwest customs and legends.
